Implementation of a reforestation project in the Kabuno watershed for environmental conservation

The artisanal harvesters of the planks of the territories of Nyiragongo and Masisi, united within a platform, have set up, since last weekend, a reforestation project for the conservation of the environment and the fight against erosion in this part from North Kivu, we learned from a participant this Wednesday.

According to these operators, this project will consist of planting trees in the localities of Kimoka, Malehe, Kingi, Murambi and Tebero, in the Kamuronza group.

The initiators of the project have also called on the entire population benefiting from the project and all the operators to take ownership of it and to become actively involved in nature conservation. This was before seeking support from the Congolese Government through the provincial Ministry of the Environment, Tourism and Culture
