The Democratic Republic of Congo has a potential of 80 million hectares of arable land. However, eight million hectares of this agrarian land are exploited, or 10% of this area is used for agriculture and livestock, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS). With this potential, the DRC can feed around two billion people in the world, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Fund (FAO).
